Do you need a ride to the synagogue for services or programs? Is it difficult for you to get out and would you like someone to visit or call you? Are you going to the hospital? Please call Rabbi Berman (617-527-2410) to let him know. The Chesed Network may be able to assist you. The Chesed Network at Temple Reyim consists of your friends and neighbors who can lend a hand.
The Chesed Network gives members a way to translate their feelings of caring and compassion into action. Over 26 people are currently involved in some aspect of the Chesed Network. Last year we held a training session with a pastoral counselor, on the essentials of a hospital visit. This year, Claire Gerstein of the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, will be offering a three part seminar/discussion series on the difficulties of juggling work, personal commitments and community obligations while trying to care for aging loved ones.
If you would like to help out and be part of the Chesed Network, please contact the Synagogue office.
