United Synagogue Youth

Temple Reyim USY is the place to be for Jewish youth in Newton. Our chapter is the most fun and active in all of New England, and we have won several regional awards this past year including Most Improved Chapter in addition to New England Silver Chapter of Excellence and Certificates of Merit for nearly every programming area.

The staff, led by Rachel Savage, Youth Director, and the USY Board have been hard at work planning an awesome year of activities. Here are some highlights of the year ahead:

  • Fun and exciting activities and events every month.
Our award-winning monthly magazine, B’YACHAD, features all the information you need to know about our chapter and upcoming events. You can also always check our website for information about our events and programs.

Students in Kadima (3rd, 4th & 5th grade), Jr. USY (6th, 7th and 8th grade) and Sr. USY (9th-12th grade) are urged to submit their membership forms as soon as possible so they can participate actively in the many chapter, regional and national programs available to USYers, including conventions, sporting events, day trips, community service activities, dances, Tikun Olam fundraisers, and Shabbatons.

The synagogue's Youth Committee guides our USY programs. We encourage the participation of as many parents as possible.
