Volunteering
We rely on the energy and creativity of our volunteers. We encourage everyone to bring their gifts, skills and talents.
There are many opportunities to volunteer:
- Help lead our Shabbat and holiday morning services by leading us in prayer, reading Torah, chanting haftarah, being a gabbai for the Torah service or sharing a d’var Torah when Rabbi Berman is away
- Greet community members and guests as they come in
- Help prepare our Shabbat kiddush lunch
- Join our Board of Directors, which oversees the overall strategic and financial direction of our shul
- Join one of our many committees that serve our spiritual, educational and institutional needs. Committees work closely with Rabbi Berman, Director of Operations Becca Wolter-Gustafson and/or our Professional Staff

- The Chesed Committee responds to the needs of our community members who may be going through a difficult period such as illness, hospitalizations or end-of-life by providing compassionate outreach and other forms of support such as rides to appointments and meals
- The Youth Committee organizes social and holiday programs for our children from infants through high school
- The Membership Committee leads outreach to prospective members, shepherds new members through the membership process, and stays connected to all of our community members
